My dad is pretty old and has a condition where he can't walk and his balance is completely shot. He just sits in his chair most of the time as anything else is an exhausting effort for him.
I was just wondering if there were any 'games' of the emerging Walking Simulator type that might be nice for him.
He doesn't know how to use a computer AT ALL and is not remotely interested in them, but a simple first person thing walking around lovely countryside might be nice for him.
He'd not be interested in any fighty gameplay - and to much 'game mechanic' type stuff generally would probably make it too complicated for him.
So literally a walking sim - just to give him something to do and present him with some nice sights - and to give the vague illusion of the ability to move around.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter looks beautiful but there's too much gameplay mechanic sophistication for him.
Can anyone think of anything really simple that might fit the bill?
Thanks gang!

Dear Esther perhaps?
I'm thinking either Firewatch or Journey. There aren't a lot of pure "explore the environment" games out there that don't have some game sensibilities.
Google Earth, or even just Google Maps in first-person mode.
