This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Video Games: What are you playing?

I gave up Warframe, I need too much time or money (to buy platinum ...) to play this game, which only seemingly is F2P.

I have now returned to old Flash games. I am currently playing Kingdom Rush 2

Alderaan Crumbs

Quote from: Bawol;1053881I also play Warframe :-) I see that Warframe is becoming more and more popular. Very good quality and great performance for a f2p game, but Warframe is a p2w game. To buy new Warframes you need platinum, you need to buy platinum in the game store.
If you keep silent about the platinum aspect, then Warframe is a great game.

I'm trying to finish Skyrim, I'm very surprised. I'm a huge fan of Morrowind, but Oblivion was a bad game, I did not even finish it. Skyrim is great :-)

You don't need Platinum to buy anything, it just takes longer to get things, naturally. I have spent money but never felt pressured to. I feel the economy is very transparent and fair. BTW, what were you playing on?
Playing: With myself.
Running: Away from bees.
Reading: My signature.

Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption.  It's from the people who made Quest for Glory for Sierra back in the 1990s (and one of whom wrote a module for Judges Guild back in the 1980s). It's pretty fun adventure/RPG hybrid.

I've been playing a fair bit of Kingdoms and castles on my mini PC, a GPDWIN 2

On my main PC, a newish game , Pathfinder, Kingmaker.  Which is pretty fun.
It's a fancy looking Isometric style RPG based on the Pathfinder Tabletop RPG.

Vermintide 2, I played the first one from time to time, but the second one is a big improvement and definitely deeper with more rpg progression elements.

Doom

Hmm, might have to put this on the bucket list...I wasn't so impressed with the original, either.

A nice education blog.

I think it is 30 bucks for computer and console.    Like I said, it is a major improvement.  Lots of things are better, to me adding the followers of nurgle to the mix added a whole lot in and of itself, especially imagery and atmosphere.

I currently play in the Path of Exile - I've been playing for 5 or maybe 6 months. Some players call PoE MMO RPG, but it's just a Hack N Slash (but the highest quality). For sure I can recommend PoE to anyone who likes Diablo 2 :-)

Just started playing Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark

While it's kinda an awful name, basically it's a Tactics Ogre/Final Fantasy Tactics homage. More the former, due to the hand drawn 2d art. Still in Early Access, but basically it's all done but the story (which is 70% or so complete)

Imaginos

I was playing through Borderlands 2 again. Just bought some new stuff with the Target B2G1 special, so about to get into one of those.

Omega

One of my players and one former player who moved out of state are currently playing the Fallout 76 beta.

As for myself. Currently tinkering with an ASCII based game called Dwarf Fortress. A sort of RTS and SIMs style game where you direct a buch of dwarves starting a new colony. Tons and Tons of stuff you can do in it. Dig and mine tunnels, craft stiff, go to war, farm, raise animals, diplomacy, fend off monsters and animals and watch your dwarves do the most perplexing things now and then.

It is a fairly complex game. But I found the basics are fairly easy to grasp. The dwarves are surprisingly autonomous and go about their daily lives when not trying to perform some task that has been assigned. For example all I had to do was mark out where to dig and one of the dwarves on their own decided to do the digging. Same with a corpse and parts area assigned. Dwarves at random tidy the place up. They go to the food stores, grab mugs and feed themselves even.

Another fascinating aspect is the complex and elabourate histories each world you create will develop and the fact that things you do in the game may become history and artifacts for a later group to discover.

Warframe is fun. It's definitely pay-to-save time, not win. You can grind out anything that isn't cosmetic.

Battletech and Overwatch are my time wasters of choice, at the moment.

By myself,
Dead Cells (Platformer) on PC Steam.

I have lately been playing Torchlight 2 with my daughter, which has been fun.

I have also recently got into slither.io , which is a bit of fun.

Mind Crime

Been playing Project99, an Everquest Emu. Classic, Kunark and Velious only. Never should have loaded it up. For a 20 year old elf sim, it's still fun as hell.

Arkansan

I've been playing quite a bit of Rising Storm 2; Vietnam. Don't really have the time for anything that requires me to sit down and seriously engage.
