This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Been playing lots of Friday the 13th: The Game on PS4. So, if anyone wants to play sometime, hit me up at TheFamousTommyZ.

Didn't realize that had been released. My PS4 is far away from me at the moment sadly.

It works out for you, then. It was apparently a catastrophe at release, as demand on their servers exceeded forecast by several thousand. A few patches later and now they're down to quality of life housekeeping rather than "patch this so people can actually play".

I've had a few bad experiences with chuckleheads, but if you make some friends and get into private matches, it's a hoot for slasher fans.

The AI is OK at this point and within one skirmish I had a handle on the UI and options.

Good to know thanks!

I'm locked on Sea of Thieves when it drops for PC. I'm also in for Battlefront II.

God help me... I might be purchasing a PS4 for Red Dead Redemption II, which I'll be sacrificing some of my PC Master-Race credibility in order to play. But fuck it. I GAME, I AM.

My family played some ARMS on our Nintendo for Father's Day. My daughters really liked it and my mother-in-law and wife were able to participate with them so that was a good time. I'm playing Disgea 5 and SFII for it. Really a great little system.

I just bought yesterday Red Dead Redemption for one of my players birthday present.

Not sure if this counts. But after nearly a decade I returned to have a look at the old Shadowrun MUD, Seattle 2064. Runs off mostly 3e SR so if you are familliar with 3e then you can get into chargen alot easier. Though its pretty smooth really and they option between the allocation system and other.

Currently just mapping out the city and figuring out where everything is. Especially the Johnsons and shops. Unfortunately its not as refined as Awake is. But on the other hand the admin arent as hostile. I'd poke into Awake and just keep a low profile. But their damn retardely short kill timer on inactive characters makes it a study in futility.

Quote from: Voros;971940Are MUDs still text based?

Yes. All text. Quick example from stepping outside the training area.

QuoteYou step out into the night air. Rain falls around you.

Ridgeway at Seattle Center
A large portion of the traffic, both on the street and on the road seems
immediately drained from view, and sucked in towards the Seattle Center. Not
unlike the centrepiece of the downtown neighbourhood, it attracts both
residents and tourists alike, with its huge structure containing a wealth of
different restaurants, boutiques, and other consumer heavens. The wide
concrete square surrounding the center gives space to people to relax and
pause along the tree-lined promenades that lead you into the Center.  A two
story structure is dwarfed to the south, a plasticrete school of sorts.

Closed or locked doors on Seattle2064 wont show on the exits listing. Just at the quick list as like n(C) or u(L).
Line at the bottom is my own custom HUD, ots a bit more colourfull. Reading across its Physical/Mental-Carried weight/max-NuYen-Karma-Combat/Defense/Offence pool-Hacking Pool-Current/Max Ammo. The last is blank as I've got my gun holstered. Otherwise Lonestar might try to arrest you, or just shoot you. Keep your weapons and illegal gear concealed or holstered when on the streets.

Im about 75% done mapping Seattle. Mainly to both pin down where everything is. And to get as complete a listing as possible of all the shops as some of the Johnsons will send you off to get items for them. Or just knowing where the hell Dante's is Or where in the Aztechnology mall a certain shop is to make a delivery.

I love the old text games despite their terrible puzzles. I had no idea text MUDs still existed. Cool.

I recently picked up Oxenfree during the current Steam sale. Very good game, for less than $4. I also got Shadows of Mordor, but haven't installed it yet, as it's a 50 GB download.

Spike

I picked up Hatred on Steam the other day and played the first level. It was a bit awkward without a controller, but simple mindless carnage style fun.  Guess it's internet outrage famous because they didn't bother to dress up the mindless carnage with some feelgood backdrop, they literally made it about mindless carnage for its own sake (Hence the name...).

But due to my work schedule I haven't been playing games much lately, not even the near mindless porn-games on the internets (and I mean the games, not some weird euphemism for porn, with the porn in the name...).  I'd say I"m still playing Warframe, but honestly I haven't played a proper mission, much less done any serious grinding in weeks.

I mention it, however, because I will be attending Tennocon in Canada-eh next week.  Hmm... maybe someone in the area of London might want to meet up? Do we even have any Canadians on this board?  If so, why haven't we banned them on general principle?  Oh, right. Pundit. Like he counts.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.
