This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Warboss Squee

I'm currently playing Fallout 4 on survival mode and just picked up Wasteland 2.

I also started up a YouTube channel where I'm doing a nuzlocke run of Pokemon Leaf Green and just posted the first video for a play through of Shadowrun Returns. It's a shameless plug, put just search my name on YouTube.

I'm deeply disappointed with W2. It seems I can no longer enjoy linear cRPGs.

I have an xbone and X-Com just became backwards compatible and free for Gold.

I had it for the 360, so I played it before, and I'm still pleased how it gives me the same kick the original did 20 some years ago.

Between my YouTube channel and keeping the content going on that and Fallout, as well as working60 hours a week, I haven't gotten much play time.

Damn good game.

Mistwell

Just started Space Rangers 2 Rebooted. Liking it so far.

Sable Wyvern

I've been playing Wargame: Airland Battle, PVP campaign vs my brother. It's become my favourite tactical sim RTS since Close Combat III or IV.

It didn't took me long to lose interest with W2. Near the end of the first mission I understood I don't give a damn about what's happening and that I already played far superior videogame long years ago:

Interestingly iv been playing x-com 1.
And ill be honest i personally like the tone of the original games over what iv seen of the new ones.
Though that might change i haven't played them yet.

Last year, I was playing X-COM 1 and last year's model. I liked them both, but I definitely preferred X-COM 1's detailed simulation-y open approach to the modern gamey abstract cartoonish more scripted & artificial approach, in most ways.  X-COM 1 allows far more freedom and mystery and terror, it seems to me.

I end up not wanting to complete a game of either, though, due to not wanting to have to deal with mind-controlling enemies and making bionic troopers or whatever. I prefer a more physical conflict where I can at least maintain control of some grunts and not have my heroes shooting each other. I get attached to my troopers and like to try to keep them alive in tactical situations, and don't much like the psychic stuff.

I normally schedule my gaming about a year out due day-job and writing at night. All that got screwed up - I was aiming for BF1 in November, allowing me to indulge in Overwatch.

I got my invite to BF1 Alpha last night. I'm screwed. so yeah... It's BF1 now.

kosmos1214

All i can say is ''we are overwatch''.

I honestly fell in love with the game even if you have no interest in shooters give the lore a look.

I just installed my ASUS Strix GTX1080 last night... gaming glory achieved.

Kosmos - you play Overwatch on PC?

Just recently completed XCom 2 just about a couple weeks after the Xbone port dropped. :)

Different with it's emphasis on waging a sort of guerilla war on the aliens, and with the new classes, but still quite good.

And the ending left me with the feeling,
Spoiler
XCom 3 will be their Terror from the Deep, my least favorite of the original XCom games
