This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Video Games: What are you playing?

Been playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: Grimoire of the Rift (got enough title there Square Enix?)

It's fun enough, but I'd like to be more challenged.

Also, I've really come to hate 2000s-era barely-thought-out crafting systems in my RPGs. All they do is add dozens of pointless extra steps of complexity to a part of RPG gameplay that benefits most from being unobtrusive.

Now, pair that up with a sloooow ass auction system you have to gamble through to access many of the better items and you have a recipe for frustration. No wonder this game isn't liked as much as the first two entries.

At least Vaan and Penello are more interesting here than as the bland blots they were on the otherwise solid Final Fantasy XII.

One brief update on EBII for anyone following: 2.2, now a major release, is due out this month. We're close to a build we can commend to internal testing, and assuming that all goes well, you'll be seeing what we've been working on.
Currently running: Tyche\'s Favourites, a historical ACKS campaign set around Massalia in 300BC.

I just picked up Galactic Civilizations III from Steam, and playing a LOT of it.

Of course I'm horrible at 4x games in the mid-to-endgame.  It seems like I build up to a point and then get overwhelmed by the AI's relentless production.

Still fun though!

Fallout 4.

Its not as compelling as Fallout New Vegas but its pretty fun, well except for settlement building which I just cannot get into.

Having fun with Battlefleet Gothic, I hope the game is moddable.  Waiting on Dawn of War III, looks like they are going more towards the original, which will be cool.  I only hope they have a planetary campaign mode, like Dark Crusade instead of a story campaign and then map skirmishes forever-ugh.

I just picked up TW:Attila and now theres TW:Warhammer.  I almost never pay the 60 bucks initial price for a game, since I have a two year backlog of games to play as it is, but for this, I might make an exception.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

Anyone got a good co-op FPS to recommend? RPGesque elements a plus.

Apparition

Tom Clancy's The Division is a good co-op third person shooter with RPGesque elements.  Not first person, I know, but that's the closest shooter I can think of that's both co-op and has some RPG elements.

Tormentum is my latest discovery.

It's a point and click adventure game taking place in what seem to be a nightmarish world inspired by works of Giger and Beksinski. The game is simple, but it sends quite a powerful message and man, those landscapes...

Meh, unmodded CA games are shite. I'll think about it when someone's done a decent mod for it, fixing all the stupid stuff that has no doubt been inserted, or important things overlooked in the rush to release.

I'm loving it so far!  Two mortars and a Hellblaster cannon on a ridge pounding the advancing ghoul and skeleton units of the Vampire Counts, while Karl Franz flies about on DeathClaw taking out unsupported archers--what's not to love?!

I have Stellaris. Thus far it's everything I've wanted in a Space 4X. Patching should just make it better.

One of my friends fell down the Total Warhammer hole. It looks good, unfortunately my current computer will not run it.

Totally addicted to fallout 4 (on PS4). Can't stop playing, can't stop questing, exploring, crafting, modding, and scavenging.
