This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Metal Gear Solid V owns me completely.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Quote from: thedungeondelver;872331I got Far Cry 4 and Warhammer: The End Times: Vermintide for Christmas and have been enjoying them both.

FC4 is Sandbox Lite (compared to, say, a Skyrim or FO4) and Vermintide scratches the Left4Dead2 itch but in a Warhammer FRP setting.

Far Cry 4 is lots of fun, and I like that Ajay Ghale is much less whiny than the "SoCal douchebag" from FC3.  I just wish your allies in 4 were less obnoxious.

I've started playing The Last Federation. It's sort of a space 4x. Except instead of en empire, you are playing the last member of an advanced race, and you want to create a Federation so that nothing like what happened to your people happens again.

You get your will done by helping the other races build up and stop their enemies, giving them tech, and using your supership to lay the smackdown on their enemies. Combat is turn based bullet hell.

It's, possibly, really hard. But I'm not sure how much that was the gating it did on all the game functions on my first playthrough. I lost. Badly. Never use the super fast forward, it's a goddamn trap.

Yes.  The best option (outside of the hidden ending) is to pick one ally or the other, and then assassinate them so whatever they're doing (Taliban or Khmer Rouge) doesn't get kicked off.  Then do open world 'til you're bored with it.

I'[m currently playing Tales of Illyria: Destinies, third installment of Illyria franchise.

It's Android cRPG with turn-based combat, similar to "Oregon Trail" taking place in a fantasy land. The setting is well done, in spite of being a bit generic. The story - perils of a prisoner attempting to get in touch with his past - is quite absorbing. Party companions have their own personalities (for example, there's a former knight who died but somehow rose up from the grave and tries to find out how and why he died), there are many quests and jobs to do, places to visit and new parts of the world to uncover.

Very good time waster, totally worth its price.

Finally got around to installing and playing Baldur's Gate; had it sitting around for about 10 years. I really like the scenery. Combat is a bit fiddly though

Set reasonable "PAUSE WHEN" events and you're halfway to success. Godspeed. :]

Quote from: Kiero;870159I can finally announce a major update for Europa Barbarorum II (a total conversion mod for Medieval 2: Total War), a complete overhaul that is barely recognisable when contrasted with what shipped last summer.

Full disclosure, I'm one of the developers, but it's something I'm proud to be part of.

and you should, it's an incredible mod, one of the best M2TW mods, which is out of a community filled with good mods.

When I have time, which isn't often, I'm playing Fallout 4 and Wasteland 2.  On the MMO front, I randomly bounce between SWtOR, Rift, LotRO and Guild Wars 2, but I'm not really active.

Short term I'll probably get into Vermintide.
Maybe finally finish up Dishonored.

My "wish I had enough time to do" gaming projects are
Do Witcher from 1-3
Do Assassin's Creed from 1 to whatever the hell it's up to now.
Play Ultima 4: Quest of the Avatar again.
Start Skyrim with the ultimate collection of cool mods from the beginning.
Play Dragon's Age 1-2 again, then do Inquisition
Play Mass Effect 1-2 again, then finally do 3.

Man I wish when I retire in 20 years, the Nursing Homes will basically be Cyber-Cafes and gaming rooms. :D

Xcom 2 is killing me. And I love it.

Oh yeah. I hope someday someone does a remake of it with updated graphics and gameplay. It was one of the more memorable experiences I've ever had.

Not much time for PC gaming these days, I'm afraid.

WoW runs like molasses in my PC right now, even at the lowest graphics settings; can't fathom why. All other games work just fine.

Replaying BL2 for the Nth time with my wife. Love this game. Would love to find a similarly CRPGesque shooter.

I have yet to give Skyrim a playthrough. :(

All Blizzard games have been under DDoS attacks due to Lizard Squad making it so, allegedly in retaliation for shutting down a private WOW server recently.

With recent Fallout 4 crashing all my carefully selected plugins and thus ruining my savegames, I switched my attention towards Android once again.

Currently I'm dividing my spare time between:

Knights of Pen & Paper 2, which is quite good representation of typical D&D session (not the D&D gameplay, mind you, just a session). ;)

...and

Talisman: Horus Heresy. I'm highly disappointed with latest edition of Talisman boardgame, so I thought I'll give HH's a try. I'm very positively surprised: the game is interesting, brings a breath of fresh air to otherwise stale product. From the technical point of view, it works quite well, even on a 5,5'' smartphone, and seems to be one of best energy-efficient games I've seen lately.

Let's see...

I tried Shadows of Mordor and just couldn't get into it. Too artificial I think.

I beat Halo 5. Decent, but far too short.

Star Wars: Battlefront - Not good. After the thrill of playing a Star Wars game wears off there's nothing there.

Really enjoying Ori and the blind forest. Completely beautiful and joyful gameplay. A little easy so far but fun none the less.

Replaying Mega Man 1-6 and Doom. Easier than I remember, just require perseverance.
