After finishing Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel on normal mode, we tried WoW again (not the new content; wife wants to ding 90 with her Orc Shaman before hitting Draenor), got bored, returned to Borderlands 2 (True Vault Hunter Mode with our old characters, Axton and Gaige) and now Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel (new Normal playthrough with the DLC characters, Jack and Aurelia, both a ton of fun).

Yeah, we're deep into a Borderlands kick.

Nevertheless, I picked up Torchlight 2 on a Steam sale and intend to try it later today. Here's hoping it plays like Diablo 3 with less monotonous art and dialogue.

Imperator

Shadow of Mordor has been THE GAME for me the last weeks. I found it a masterpiece.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Civ IV is an oldie but goodie. (Relatively speaking on the "oldie" part, you know.) You can play it without needing to be online, and you don't even need the damn DVD-ROM inserted, either. And it'll simply suck up hours of your time.

It's more like a remake of Diablo 2, in the same way Torchlight was like a remake of Diablo 1. There's more build variety, but like D2, nowhere near as much as it looks like there is.

Shipyard Locked

Playing Bravely Default.

Strong back-to-basics Final Fantasy entry with more control over the flow of battle. Nice characters, fun to watch them dealing with plot twists. Even more fun to watch them messing with the bad guys after one of the biggest plot twists gives the heroes the upper hand in these conversations for once.

Colors palette and costume design could have been better though.

Japanese VO with French subtitles is very good. Best French game translation I've seen in a while.

Not a bad thing at all! In this case, which class would be the Necromancer?

Even the cutesy, cartoonish look is kind of fun. My wife loves her papillon pet. :D

Everyone can get summons, but I like the Engineer, for the classic "wave of bodies" experience; buy all of the robots, and let them do most of the work (I do love spider mines...). Buy the Summon Skeleton / Zombie / Imp skills for both you and your pet. Take Ember Hammer for shieldbreaking, and Onslaught for getting into packs (The Engineer is tough, they can handle it), but only 1 point as you're not really attacking with these. Gear for toughness and pet damage, and put your attributes into Vitality for more survival.

Spam spider mines until everything is on fire, and also dead :D

Oh yeah! I'm playing Pokémon Omega Ruby on my New 3DS (The new model; the 3D actually works now, the screens are a little bigger, it's just all-round nicer to use), eg. reliving my childhood; while I had Pokémon Blue imported from the US, it was Ruby that I really enjoyed most.

Also, Saint's Row : Gat Out Of Hell, which is... fine. It's fine. I'm not upset about buying it. I'm not upset there are no missions and nothing seems to make much sense. It's Saint's Row, it's all about being fun. It's just fine. I don't think it's a disappointment.

Quote from: Imp;814024Endless Legend has taken up most of my computer gaming hours lately. It's a very good fantasy 4X game.

Seconded. I've been pretty well sucked in. I think they took some of the best ideas in Endless Space and ran with them to create a great game.

I took 4 swings at it, just couldn't find it fun...I loved Endless Space, but 'Legend feels like a sci-fi Civ game with fantasy stapled on. I kept waiting for the elves to bust out lightsabres.

Been trying Blackguards 2 lately, in between bouts of Skyrim (finally playing an orc, which IMO has the best race-based ability). Every time I play Skyrim, I have a concept, but always end up stealth/bow with everything else  just for fun.

A nice education blog.

I just downloaded a copy of Super Mario 3D Land on my 3DS.

I was fortunate enough to receive it for free by spending my coins (that is, my points) at the Club Nintendo customer loyalty program. So far, it's a fun platformer that's a great way to pass some time.

I should mention that anyone else who's registered at Club Nintendo should spend their points while they still can. Nintendo is going to scrap the current program for a new one in the next few months, and existing points will not be carried over.
"...player narration and DM fiat fall apart whenever there's anything less than an incredibly high level of trust for the DM. The general trend of D&D's design up through the end of 4e is to erase dependence on player-DM trust as much as possible, not to create antagonism, but to insulate both sides from it when it appears." - Brandes Stoddard

Just finished Halo 1.

It holds up rather well all things considered. Certainly more engaging that most spunkgargleweewee these days.

I also picked up Wasteland 2 and it's awesome. It's every inch Fallout 2.

Unfortunatly it's long and involved which means I highly doubt I'll finish it. #dadgaming

Endless Flight

I'm still playing Call of Duty: World at War on the PS3. When I can avoid the occasional hacker on the multiplayer, I have a blast playing. I've got over 62 days played and am closing in on 300,000 kills.

Doctor Jest

Playing Crusader Kings II now, with the Way of Life and Old Gods expansions. Trying to become King of Norway leading some Norse Tribes, trying to centralize power, and trying hard to keep my growing empire from crumbling as vassals start getting uppity about wanting independence and not having their kinfolk imprisoned blah blah blah. Fun grand strategy/intrigue game.
