I regret nothing... :o

Damn, and I thought my 1311 hours of Team Fortress 2 were excessive.

Defiance.
The Secret World.
Skyrim. Lots of the latter when my friends are unavailable for the other two.

Man, if I wasn't nearly done with MMOs and/or otehrwise occupied, I'd give this a try.

I like Funcom's Age of Conan, and I love the concept of TSW, but I'm reluctant to get into it because I don't know if I would have the time to devote to it.

But the best part about TSW is that they went to the Guild Wars 2 model of buy once then play, so I can at least consider TSW.

Does TSW suffer from some of the same annoying lag issues that Age of Conan has? I'll hit a button to perform a maneuver in AoC, and it seems like there's a half second delay before my attack actually starts. AoC is the only one that I have this problem with, and I've often wondered whether it's due to the servers being overseas in Europe.

Eh, it's average for a long term Dota 2 player (I began late 2012). Some people who got in during the beta are now reaching five digits.

The Butcher

Borderlands 2 playthrough with the wife still going strong.

We're level 26 (Commando and Mechromancer) and, I figure, 75% or 80% of the way through the main quest line. Currently doing the Lynchwood side quests and debating whether to tackle any DLC before finishing the core storyline.

I hadn't Played a FPS in about a decade and I'd totally forgotten how fun those games can be. Throw in the CRPG-like structure of quests, levels and skills, and it's become downright addictive.

The new game — Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel — is scheduled for release this Friday. I haven't even finished BL2 and I've already preordered. That's how great this friggin' game is.

I did read somewhere that you're better off holding off the DLC until later, to better exploit it for levels and gear... but if you're not planning on doing the Hard and Very Hard modes, it doesn't matter much.

Doom

Yeah, the DLC can wait, and is a bit hard for the level the DLC says it is (a bit, mind you, not obscene).

I'm currently playing through B2 again, for the first time as a Psycho. Level 36, have really tried, but just can't seem to enjoy the character. The ol' "melee attack when desperate" is just so iffy. If you're desperate and low on HP, putting down the gun and running up to people as they shoot you just doesn't seem to work for me. I'm trying out the "turn into a total Psycho" tree, and it's a little better, but still just doesn't suit my style.

I'll probably just totally play through as a commando again at level 1, then hopefully the price on the pre-sequel will drop to something I won't mind playing.

Next time I play I wanna try the Siren, actually. Thoughtlocking sounds like a hoot, and I'm a sucker for elemental weapons. My wife loves her Mechromancer too.

But I think I'll try the Pre-Sequel before TVHM/UVHM. Wilhelm looks like fun. Two surveyor drones plus a cybernetic implant skill tree? Sign me up.

I took advantage of the Origin freebie to land Dragon Age: Origins.

Amazingly enough, I never bothered picking the game up until now, although the omnipresent sense of dread is probably going to get to me eventually.

The thing that drove me frothing nuts about Origins was all the fights have you severely outnumbered...and then you go back to camp where half a dozen combat capable NPCs lounge around.

I was playing around with this iOS deck building game:

It's actually pretty fun and I like the flavor of the cards. Nice illustrations and everything.

Currently playing: Battlefield 4. I just made Division 2 in the world as an Engineer and Recon (I can't snipe worth a damn. I'm in deep with my carbines)

SWTOR - Currently raiding with a Republic Guild - "Rebel Scum" (I'm really an Imperial - my guild is slumming on the other side because we're top-end on the Imp-side).

Oooh, don't forget the NPC's who only exist to cocktease you with tales of adventure (And you only need to go to the Bioware DLC store to buy their adventures!)

Well, that's pretty typical of most RPGs that I've played. It's a limitation of the genre that you can't go back to town, round up a dozen guards, and go wipe out an enemy camp.
