This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

What's your thoughts on Nuclear Option flight sim?

Nuclear Option on Steam

I find it to be fun.  It is towards the easier end of the scale.  It still has enough flight sim to make me happy.

That being said, it's unrealistic in some ways.  All weapons are smart weapons, even rockets.  IR missiles are detectable by the target, and nearly always spoofed by four flares or so.  Everybody is using a datalink with a helmet display, so all targets have a red box around it. You target stuff by looking at it.  The only instrument panel you need is the HUD.

But, that doesn't mean it's not fun.  I've been enjoying the new aircraft carrier that just came out.  It's even a bit weird because it's a short take off ski jump bow carrier, but arrestor wire landing.   No catapults like Russian/Chinese/Indian navies carriers.

What's your thoughts?
I'm glad for you if you like the top selling game of the genre.  Me, I like the road less travelled, and will be the player asking we try a game you've never heard of.
