This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I wouldn't have heard of this without a random Google recommendation, so I assume others won't have either:

I haven't played any of Slitherine Studios' prior output, so I can't speak to their quality, but they've been quietly cranking out AA strategy games for over 20 years now and haven't gone out of business, so there must be a base level of competence there.

If this manages to be a success, it might mean a significant boost for the tabletop game, which doesn't seem to be doing all that well these days.
Playing: Mongoose Traveller 2e
Running: Dolmenwood
Planning: Too many things, and I should probably commit to one.

Oh, this is unexpected and interesting.

I can think on The King of Dragon Pass (and its spiritual sequel, Six Ages) as a precedent to this, both amazing text games.
Play according to your principles.

The actual RPG seems better designed for a computer game than something to be played with pen and paper. I couldn't stand to deal with hit locations, but maybe I'm not hip enough.

I hate to bring the DESPAIR to everyone, but if SLITHERINE made this game then it's a wargame or a RTS game, not an rpg. Just thought I'd bring it up. I like their take on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, however:
Turn-based orders, but you watch both sides take their turn simultaneously. It was an interesting tactical game!
King Of Dragan Pass and Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind are still available on GOG and probably Steam, if you need a Glorantha fix!

One of the articles I saw about this mentioned that there was a Runequest CRPG in development at some point, but apparently development news has gone quiet for a few years. Googling it now, all I get is a thread on the Chaosium forums from 2022 complaining that nobody had heard about the game for three years previously.

I guess it decided to shack up with the Paranoia Crpg. If they have a baby, it would be the Hero Games' Champions CRPG! (I'm still waiting on that one - still got hope, btw!)
