This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Recommend me a Board or War-game

Buttercup

I'd second Caylus.

I think it's good to have a game that will support different styles of play, and Caylus does that. And of course, you want something with lots of replayability.

Other board games that meet those criteria would be Fire & Axe (if you can find it) and Powergrid.  Powergrid isn't a war game, but it's entertaining and easy to learn, while meeting my other criteria.  Fire & Axe is one of the coolest games I've ever seen.  I've only played it once, because we don't own it, but if I could buy only one gaming product in the next twelve months, that's the thing I'd buy.
