I love the game, despite what some muppets at RPG.net want to believe (probably because i dont go around like some happy clapper bleating about it), however as I have inadvertently scored a US trial versin, I, a UK citizen, find i lose connection all the fucking time.
This is really frustrating.
 
Now I don't know what the rules are regarding trial versions, but I want to try a more local version because right now I am having kittens trying to maintain a stable connection (and I have tried everything). Whether it works any better I don't know, but I can't commit to upgrading to the game proper until i know i have the right version.

Have you tried asking on the CoH Forums?  I don't know exactly how you get a trial version, and I am a US player (so no help there), but the CoH Forums have surprisingly helpful people.  For a MMO.

Oh right, I forgot that oddity about their forums.  Pay to Post...  :(  I'll ask my CoH pals, but I think they are all US players too.  If I do get any UK Trial info, I'll post it here.

No luck yet.  The 2 responses I got on the US forum suggested to try the UK Forum (can't) and the other did not know of any current UK trial.  So, I emailed my CoH crowd to see if they have heard of anything.

I appreciate the effort.

You'd think they'd set up some permanent trial mode. I mean it's a promotional tool for people to pay them money! :D

Agreed.  Especially for older MMOs.  Give anyone one shot at 2 free weeks to try to get some new subscribers.  

My email replies have been negative so far too btw.  :(  All I can suggest is to find some CoH player where you are and bug them to ask on their UK forums.
