This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone had heard about this game at all?? There's a Kickstarter campaign going on right now and I'm just baffled that there aren't more fans who would want to support it.

They even got a lot of community modders on board and a veteran developer from the original JA2 game, Chris Camfield to help out.

The game is apparently i pre-production, so there's not that much to show yet, but they seem to have the heart in the right place.. You guys think the fans are simply too old now?

Here's the link if you want to check it out

Thing is, the original JA wasn't all that great, and the most recent JA was such a fiasco that I just don't know how they have much of a fan base, though I certainly wish the programmers the best.

Just because it's an IP doesn't mean it's a profitable IP, after all.

A nice education blog.

If Jagged Alliance were that popular, Sir-Tech likely never would have gone out of business.

I mean, personally, between it and Wizardry, they should have been rolling in the dough, but the designer of Wizardry 8 (and long time Sir-Tech employee) tried a KS to make a Wiz style game that failed.

And of course in this case, it's some Eastern European company that has licensed the game. I admire their love of turn based games, but their game are always janky.

Hello first-time poster.

How kind of you to let us know about this kickstarter.
Yeah, but who gives a fuck? You? Jibba?

Well congrats. No one else gives a shit, so your arguments are a waste of breath.
