This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

EDIT: I've changed the topic of the thread. God War 2 is just too damned action-packed to do an actual play log, and I'm too damned lazy to make copius notes whilst fighting minotaurs, the undead and Titans.

So. Has anyone else played this gem? High points thus far have included:

1)The extended battle with the Colossus. Kratos launches himself from a ballista to blind the gigantic statue in one eye. It's one of the many 'whoa' moments of the game, and merely an

2)The quick kill system. Faster and more intuitive than its predecessor, I'm loving these little short-cuts to victory. Tearing the wings from hippogriffs, wrenching the heads off of Cerebus, shoving my blades down a minotaurs throat, it's brilliantly violent and bloody.

3)The boss battles. Thus far my favourite has been Theseus, where Kratos impales him on his own spear before smashing his head to a pulp by repatedley slamming the doors of the temple.

GoW 2 easily trumps the first game in the series, it's possibly the most visceral and exciting action adventure title I've yet played. Full marks to the developers for releasing a title that offers true, unabashed carnage married to superb gameplay.
