This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I have Anima: Shadow of Omega...

First impression: It looks bloody gorgeous. A quick read points towards a game that feels very RPG-like. Each player has a party of heroes, who go on quests and explore places before attempting the final mission to save the world. Other players (and the game!) can throw random encounters or events against you. Even plot hooks like romance or betrayal are well simulated.

I'll report more when I have the opportunity to play it.

Sounds like Munchkin with animesque pictures and less jokes...
You ARE the enemy. You are not from "our ranks". You never were. You and the filth that are like you have never had any sincere interest in doing right by this hobby. You\'re here to aggrandize your own undeserved egos, and you don\'t give a fuck if you destroy gaming to do it.

I have no clue if it has similarities or not, and quite frankly I don't care as long as Shadow of Omega is a fun game. When it comes to games, innovation is vastly overrated.

I think you would hate playing 15th century chess with their stupid rules, that made half of the pieces on board so useless, they served only to make the game last longer, till one side finaly got rid of them and can kick ass of the other...

And munchkin is this...

I know about Munchkin, I just have no idea if they are similar.

As for that chess argument... dude, talk about grasping at straws.

As for the innovation argument... dude, talk about living in caves eating maggots. or taken to extreme, being archea breathing sulphide.

Does this mean the RPG is finally just mere years away?

It seems the RPG was released during this Gencon. Some people at TBP said they had it.

For sure hot anime chicks are more important than rules of said game... you cannot :ACFBC6: to rules.

And it wasn't me who started this "innovation war"... I just commented how this game seem to be like...

Intriguing.  FFG had been rather nonspecific about when it was coming.

They're a very poor company when it comes to communicating future releases.

So your opinion of anime is reduced to that? Good to know what kind of shallow person we're dealing with.

LOL! Fucking otaku spotted! And I was refering to you and your coment about unimportance of fun innovative rules... well, when you remove this from game like Anima: shadow of omega only that remains is Munchkin/magic ripoff with pretty pictures...
