This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

A couple of reviews about Hatred and the reason why it is so violent in the first place.

Totalbiscuit

What the two reviews have in common?  They both agree that the game is shit and not worth your time.

Though I will tell you that this game will sale like hot cakes due all the bad press it had received.  So all the people that bitch about this game and panic about the children should thank themselves because they pretty much sold a shit game.  Congrats to all you neo puritans, social justice warriors, and busy bodies.  How does it feel to know that you accomplish the exact opposite of what you wanted?

You know what?  How about you get bitch at good games so they can sell like hot cakes too.  Seriously get into a moral panic about the Last Guardian.  I would love to see that go into stores so I can buy it.

Outside of this site, I honestly havent heard any buzz, negative or otherwise, about it. My bet is that it will be completely forgotten within the year to be honest

Never heard of it...

Well, until now.... I might get it, it sounds interesting!  ;)

It's a middling twin stick shooter with questionable optimization. Which is actually better than I expected. With the option to remove the execution cut scenes it seems like it could be a halfway decent time waster.

That said, if the destruction effects are the developers I'm impressed, if they're part of the unreal engine I may have to start paying more attention to what is done in that engine.

Right!

And there's some irony there for you OP. Posting it here is the same as bringing attention to the product... Such as, you are so willing to critique others for.

Odd.

As far I consider it. A good reviewer will review anything-If the game happens to suck, so be it...
