This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Games you like, that you suck at.

Talking of suck, Avoid Wii's "Redsteel" for it is pooopy,
it's a FPS, and the gun combat is okay, but the crap sword fighting sucks bottom...

RTSes get my "like 'em, but suck at 'em" vote.  Besides, I always think the computer is cheating on those things anyhow.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

There have been many combat flight sim games (like Wing Commander and the air combat part of Battlefield) that I have really wanted to get into, but I suck at every one of them. I just can't grok the 3D combat on a 2D screen. I end up losing all sense of direction.

I also suck at real-time strategy games, but I despise those, so that doesn't count.

I can get only so far with RTS games and then I just hit a block. Command and Conquer 3 is my current stumbling block.

Not to mention playing them against humans, then I am completely rubbish.

Balbinus

Silent Hunter III.

I want a serious, detailed and realistic WW2 sub sim.

I also want it to be easy and intuitive to play.

Similarly, I want tasty fat free chocolate and to get money without working, but I ain't getting them either.

Skyrock

Mike Tysons Punch-Out. Great Famicom-/NES-Classic I spent whole afternoons with, but where I never managed to beat Bald Bull who isn't even close to the end of the game.

"Tony wrecks in the race because he forgot to plug his chest piece thing in. Look, I\'m as guilty as any for letting my cell phone die because I forget to plug it in before I go to bed. And while my phone is an important tool for my daily life, it is not a life-saving device that KEEPS MY HEART FROM EXPLODING. Fuck, Tony. Get your shit together, pal."

Clock Tower on the Super Famicon.

Skyrock

Castlevania on the Game Boy. The mood is overwhelming, but the handling, the need for timing and the general difficulty are overwhelming.

Same goes for Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the SNES, but add cool graphical effects for its time.

Ikaruga.

I refuse to believe that anyone has actually beaten this game.

That game is fuckin' ridiculous.

The man who devised the concept of the dual-ammo system used in that game was clearly criminally insane.

i'll add my vote to the RTS group.  but i'm also not a fan of PC games.  i'm more of a console guy.  using the mouse as a controller just doesn't do it for me.

also, the first mortal kombat for the ps2, deadly alliance or whatever.  normally i do fine on fighters, but the timing issues for the necessary combos etc. just pissed me off.

Heh, heh.  BODY BLOW, BODY BLOW, BODY BLOW!  :)

Halo.  Love to watch my friends play it, but I just can't get the hang of it.  Far too many options for me between all the different weapons and which ones work best against which foes.   Yeck.  I don't like FPS's in general (I like to see my guy running around).  I'll bite the bullet and play a WWII FPS, although I set the challenge rating as ridiculously easy if possible.  Halo rocks, though.  I just wish I could do something with it.
