This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Ladybird

Quote from: robiswrong;781243Gaige is fun, but is kinda easy mode.

Eh, you can build her that way, but positioning and situational awareness are really the fun bits of FPS anyway; her aim-compensating abilities didn't change the game that much for me.

I'm not even talking the aim-compensating abilities (I've never used them).  Especially with Deathtrap, she's just very powerful in my experience, compared to the other classes.

I got Axton to level 35, the ninja to level 50, and Gaige to level 50 before I ended up not playing.  I never noticed her being more powerful than the others.  Just different.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel preorders are up on Steam.

Also, BL1, 2 and GOTY are all 75% off.

I played all the classes in the first game. The soldier was really strong in the first few levels, but his turret got more useless in the later parts. The siren and the berzerker were overpowered later on. You could basicly play those two without firing a weapon too often, just linking you special abilities one after another. The hunter was good for sniping or pistols. The bird was kinda cool, but not really that useful.

The second game I played the commando. The turret is just really good and I think it stays that way till the end. The siren has an ability which hasn't convinced me. I didn't play the others yet and I don't own any extra characters. It doesn't seem like any of the characters is all about the special ability. It's more about the shooting.
May I say that? Yes, I may say that!

Quote from: The Butcher;781265Is Krieg the Psycho any fun? I sure as hell love listening to the NPC Psychos and their often nonsensical threats.
I think he is full of win.

His special is frelling hilariously awesome and my gawd the damage once beefed up a bit is outrageous.

Granted it wasn't me playing, that was my son(PS3).  I finally got it on the PC and while I am not the best at the game I am finding him fun.

What tree did you use?  I focused on the Anarchy, and once you got some stacks you could just murderize everything almost immediately... especially once you got the abilities that let you manage your anarchy stacks.  Of course, to do so you had to pretty much use high rate of fire, inherently low acc weapons to begin with, but that was a pretty monstrous build in my experience.

The Cutie played Krieg when we were doing co-op, and just listening to him was hilarious.  He also seemed like a very interesting playstyle.  If I do another playthrough, I'll probably give him a shot.

Anyone notice that Zer0 (gotta spell it right!), when he's doing his special move, speaks in haiku?

Aw yeah.

But my favorite was when I was getting my ass kicked as Zer0 and I don't recall what I did but he was all like, "*grumble* unworthy opponents." Seriously? 0_o

This game is a ton of fun.

Got the wife to play! She's playing Gaige and I started Axton to level with her. Blimey that turret is fun.

Anyone got co-op builds to suggest!

Not explicitly co-op, but the rocket pods for the turret are amazing.
