This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Anyone here jumping on the Trench Crusade bandwagon?

Ratman_tf

It looks great. (In that twisted gross way) But I don't have the capacity for the minis I'm already working on. Love to hear from people playing it though.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

As of six months ago, the Trench Crusade team was standing by their friends on their Discord and banning, even stalking, conservatives who were interested in the game.  Has that changed?  I can't find any recent information other than that the Kickstarter has been successful.

I was interested in Trench Crusade, I may still try it if someone wants to demo the game or a friend wants to play it.  I'm still up in the air about it.

Greetings!

I, I've watched Archcast before. Arch does an excellent program. Arch is of course absolutely right in his analysis of Trench Crusade.

For myself, Trench Crusade seems like it is full of Leftist Tranny degenerates. So, fuck them. They can all burn. Trench Crusade is Woke garbage, and can burn as well. I certainly won't be playing Trench Crusade or supporting them in any way. Woke games, Woke companies need to all burn and be crushed in poverty, failure, and ridicule.

I went in on the kickstarter for the book. There are a few people interested around this way and we have a fairly eager (if small) alt-games scene, so it will be easy to set up a small campaign next year.

I like the vibe and the art, and while the minis are gorgeous I'm personally going to be using it as an opportunity to convert some really weird models. I've been doing a lot of historicals recently, so I need to let loose!

Ugh, I really wanted to support the KS, mainly because I'm a fan of Mordheim and I am more than confident that Tuomas is going to deliver an amazing game... but I knew that it would be an impossibility to find people near me to play, so I skipped it. And I have way too many other games to begin with.

I'll follow along just for the lore because it is an interesting world.

Oh yes.  This one has me revitalizing my interest in war games.

Im interested because I have been told that its very kit bash friendly. Frankly any game I can play without having to buy into the official kit is of heavy interest to me.

The models look good at the very least!

Zero interest from me.

It's not my thing.  I hate painting minis, and grim dark is already covered by Warhammer Fantasy and 40K.

If you hate GW, then the easiest way to "get back at them" is to play One Page Rules using 3D printed or knockoff models.  Which I still do not want to paint.

Me, I found that BattleTech is my game.  We also tried  C.O.R.E. Mech Warfare from Wargame Vault using Gunpla that you snap together without glue, and already have colored plastic bits instead of paint. Stickers are used occasionally.  I already had the Gunpla.  That's it.

Now I'm looking into fantasy regiment games and using paper standees for the ranks of soldiers.
I'm glad for you if you like the top selling game of the genre.  Me, I like the road less travelled, and will be the player asking we try a game you've never heard of.
