This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Haffrung;235406Dark Tower was a fun little game for a couple of weeks. But I don't see how it qualifies as a dungeon.

However, Paul Jaquay's Dark Tower may well be the best old-school dungeon ever.
Not a dungeon.  A module.  Starting with the local baron pleading with you to stop the Wizard of the Dark Tower, proceeding to the Ruins, the market, wandering around the countryside.

I don't know.  The game was cool when I was very young, what with the great artwork, the plastic pieces and the neat-o electronic tower running the random aspects of the game.  But it wasn't that good as a game, really: very little interaction, very little strategy...it was definitely all about the bits.

As for the board game making for a great module, again, I don't see it.  It's a fairly run-of-the-mill scenario.  There's not much in the way of atmosphere or anything to make up for the banality of the basic scenario.

Now, taking the old Magic Realm boardgame and making that into a weird RPG setting...that would be great... :)
For fuck\'s sake, these are games, people.

And no one gives a fuck about your ignore list.
