This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Which expansions for the Carcassonne board game rock? Which ones suck?

Insufficient Metal

I like Traders & Builders and Inns & Cathedrals, The River, King & Scout.

The Tower is good if you want the game to be way more competitive.

I didn't like Princess & the Dragon or The Count.

We just tried playing the game with the River tonight, and we really enjoyed it. Changes the whole configuration of the game. Amazing what a few different tiles will do, heh? :)

I second what IM said.  All the supplements add a little bit extra to the game and are interesting in there own way.  The one draw back is that if you start adding in all of them all at the same time the once relatively simple game of Carcassonne gets really - really complicated.
