This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Words cannot describe the awesome of this game.

I've been playing it on and off since I got it and it is so much fun.

I've even won with Halflings twice. One of those was against Ogres.

I'm struggling hard with the interface, clicks just don't come close to reading reliably.

The AI seems extra feeble. "Grab the ball" works well, then they surround the ball with tough guys. Past that, no discernable strategy, computer has yet to score a touchdown, since the pack of tough guys just sort of flounder around until halftime/game end, or I get lucky enough to penetrate the pack.

I haven't played the legendary ed yet but the taste of the previous edition is so foul in my mouth I just can't bring to bear the thought of supporting Cyanide ever again.

All the niggling bugs aside I think the terrible AI from the first game is probably the worst offender still.  The shit icing on the crap cake if you will.

Have they fixed the issue where EVERY AI race just turtles from Halflings, to Wood Elves to Dwarves (who should).  I don' t know how many games I played and collectively I could count the number of times a passing team ran a passing play.

Have they fixed the issue both logically and mechanically that allows a Krox with AG 2 and no skills to repeatedly make multiple successful multi-tackle zone dodges in the same turn.

Have they fixed AI skill selection to actually hand out skills to AI star players in a way that you know makes sense?

How's the crash situation.  The last edition wasn't horrible for me at least when it came to crashing - though whenever it did it always seemed in the midst of an awesome game.  But online play was utterly brutal at times where the only reason we know something was happening was because we were in communication outside of the game.

Well, so far no crashes, but there's something not quite right with the random number generator. I'm missed ball pick-ups 7 of 8 times last game (3+ does mean 3 or better on a d6, as near as I can tell)...lost, but at least I scored on the one time I was allowed to pick up the ball.

Only completely played 2 games so far (had a tough time picking up the ball the first game, too, 2 of 5 times, won 2/1), so not real sure about the AI or other issues.

But the whole "must click 1-20 times in order for a click to read" rather wears me down. I KNOW I'm clicking the right button (only 2 choices, after all...), but time and again the game acts like there's something else I should do, then it remembers that, yeah, it's supposed to be a mouse click, and accepts it.

I like the announcers and extra rules and stuff, but that megaclicking frustration will limit my play, I think.

There is definately something wrong with the dice program. When I'm playing somebody competant at picking up against a likewise competant ball handler we shouldn't be spending half the game standing around trying to pick up the ball.

Mind you I have seen real Blood Bowl Games like that. Once with an Elf team!

Seems that random seed problem hasn't been fixed yet then.  Tthe random gen for the Blood Bowl video game has always seemed off on the DS, 360 and PC in the last edition.

Though I have had that kind of brutal luck in real Blood Bowl to know it can happen it still seem wrong in the video game.  Like once it picks a number for a result it keeps picking that same number for consecutive test based on the same skill.

Also been reading the official forums for the LE version and it still seems like many of the previous issues are still broken or at least not really fixed.

I just beat Norse 3-0 with High Elves. It wasn't as if I was playing a passing game either it was mostly a blocking game.

Something is definately wrong with the randomiser.

I'm most of the way through story mode, the random number generator seems to chill out eventually.

Once you get the hang of it, the game does have its charms...still need to play a season to really be sure, though. At least the game is playable enough to do that.
