I haven't followed Starfield execept to toss it on my Steam wishlist because it has space shippos. What's woke about it?

I've been playing it and... not much?  There's a drop-down pronoun picker in character creation where you can be a they/them, and that's pretty much the extent of it that I saw.  I haven't encountered anyone in the game being tedious about their sex, race, or sexual preferences, no characters have run up to me to go on about how trans they are, etc.  I honestly dunno what exactly has this guy so riled.

It's not about just Starfield.

See the video where he talks to an NPC woman who's saying "I have to tell you something" and he guesses "You're a dude". Turns out he's right (she's a clone of a man) and the rant starts.

I am enjoying starfield, but I was expecting more laser/energy based weapons than they put in, and there are some other things I am underhwlmed by.  I also wish the creation kit/official modding tools would have been released by now instead of having to wait until next year.

I played through the main quest line on Xbox.  The game did not live up to the hype for me.  It really is No Man's Skyrm.  The amount of watching cut scenes is ridiculous.  I spent all this time improving my ship which can travel faster than light but, I can't get the thing to land 3km closer to a possible nickel deposit and I have to find nickel deposits because these advanced civilizations have retailers that only deal in finished goods like guns, clothes, and food.  For some reason there's no Home Depot to go buy the 2kg of nickel I need for some item in my base.

None of that matters now because I did not save the game right before entering the last main story quest mission.  Please friends save your game before starting the "One Giant Leap" mission.  A good 10 hours spent on base building and exploring were rendered a complete waste of time.  It wasn't fun enough to start another base and I've spend days of time in Valheim building castles and bridges and castles on bridges.  I love building games when the resources make sense and are accessible.

The woke stuff was minor.  I skipped pronouns on chargen and didn't find the NPCs overly annoying.  The dull space combat, walking stupid distances, overly complicated build system, and no ability to pilot ships in atmospheres on planets was way more frustrating than finding out  after I married Sarah that she was into girls too.  If she'd told me that before we got hitched I'd have tried to get Andreja and Sarah to go for polygamy end game.  The game is not fun enough for a replay to see it.  I'll have to just research reddit to see if it's possible.

Note:  Reddit confirms you can marry as many companions as you want.  Fun.

FWIW, we (Walmart) are going to trash the Xbox physical copies of this in the very new future.  Which is rather rare so soon

They wanted another Skyrim, but made another Fallout 76.

Considering they scouted my RPG and company name under false pretense and then claimed the fallow title. Bethsada is a dirty company and nothing surprises me what they do.
