This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hi all,

I have done a bit of freelance work and my own 5e supplements in the past (if interested links below) but started to convert that stuff over to Advanced OSE/1e/BX.  First book converted over is Wizards & Machineguns (a significant update/conversion of the original 5e "Big Book of Robots").

Its essentially a collection of monsters, items, classes and some light setting information from my home campaign which is science-fantasy based.  It contains (as far as I am aware) every science related monster ever published by TSR converted over to OSE.  Specifically the largest chunk is from Expedition to the Barrier Peaks and its Pathfinder "spiritual sequel"  The Iron Gods. Commercial blurb:

  • 4 new races
  • 4 science-fantasy themed classes
  • 11 spells
  • 62 new monsters - from aliens, AI and robots
  • Future-tech firearm generator (with example items) along with rules on how to implement them
  • Additional setting rules to help place it in your campaign world.

Most people would categorize it as gonzo but its not of the same ilk as Venger or Pundit's stuff as it takes the tech a bit more seriously and follows the adage of "sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" as a setting philosophy.  So much more Dying Earth than Last Sun as the books implied setting.
