This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Precis Intermedia has released the Warcosm Shipyard, an application for both Windows and Macintosh that takes all the number-crunching and paperwork out of the ship design process.  Use it to create prototype starships quickly and easily, and save your designs for archival or to trade with other players. The utility of this application does not stop there. Export your ship data in a variety of formats for use on the web, Precis Intermedia Collaborative (for sharing your fleets and making PDF files) and Message Boards, or your favorite word processing program.

Don't be left in the cold of space. Find out why everyone is excited about Precis Intermedia's Warcosmâ„¢, the easy-to-learn and quick-paced tabletop game of fleet-based space battles.

"The price makes it irresistible."

"[Warcosm] is similar to Starfire but with a bit more interesting ship design and operation. Warcosm provides more flexibility on designing ships for firepower, maneuverability and protection."

"Yes, it is that good... everything you need to design and deploy your own starship fleets."

"I can't wait to get this game going..."

"I'm thinking I may have just found my ship-to-ship system..."

"It's a pretty sweet little game, easy to play with just enough options to keep things interesting."

"Totally sweet..."

"Warcosm Shipyard is indispensable."

Warcosm's game mechanics encourage tactics without the overwhelming burden of excessive rules, allowing players to control six, ten, or even a few dozen ships for scalable battles. Its attractive price means that you don't have to spend a fortune. It is designed for use with either miniatures or flat counters, and is available in both PDF and Print formats.

The Warcosm Printed Starter Set includes printed rules, hex maps, color counter sheet, and ten-sided die. The PDF is also included for instant gratification (when purchased from Precis Intermedia or a participating online retailer). The Warcosm PDF also includes a special font for sharing your fleets and new creations with others simply by copy/pasting text; or use your word processor to place an entire fleet on one page.

I got a copy of this soon after buying the Warcosm game.
Using it allows you to create ships and built fleet lists up very quickly and with no hassles.

With the cost of it and the game coming in less than £7 its just a purchase you cant go wrong with.

Very impressed with it, only a pity we dont have RPGsite darlings :)
Currently doing nothing.

Glad you found it easy to use. I made the shipyard as useful as possible without being overly complicated, just like the game :)
