Uprooted by war, a steady stream of refugees make their way towards Amiens and the imagined security life behind its tall walls will provide.  The player characters accompany one such caravan, either as escorts hired to protect them, or as refugees themselves, taking their loved ones to start a new life.  But when the caravan of refugees is waylaid just a few miles short of their destination, the characters find themselves at the mercy of new masters who are as fearless and greedy as a pack of wolves.

The Fox's Tale is an adventure for the historical fantasy role-playing game, Medieval Tales. The plot is loosely based on the classic folktale, "The Wolf and The Fox" (also known as "The Fox Teaches The Wolf to Sing"), but as with all Medieval Tales adventures it is set in the 15th century, with the events of this particular story unfolding in the region of Picardy.  The Fox's Tale also includes certain elements from the folk stories, "Endless Wishes" and "The Man With The Bean" (both by Henri Pourrat).

Features of this product include:

* A summary of the history of the muche (underground city) of Naours, including keyed maps and detailed descriptions of many of its underground locations.

* A B&W map of the Amienois region, a.k.a. "the land of blue gold".

* An adventure that can serve as a starting point for characters from Picardy, or simply to insert in any ongoing story, with events taking place on the rolling plateau north of the Somme.
