This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

SUPERS! Comic Book Role Playing Game is near completion and will be available March 2010 in pdf from RPGNow and in print in both hardcover and softcover 6"x9" from LULU. The PDF will be $6.00 and the print will be from $12.00.

Supers! is a game all about playing costumed heroes – the kinds of hero you see in good old-fashioned comic books. These heroes are larger-than-life; they have high ideals and they know right from wrong. Their world is black-and-white; they are good and the villains are bad. There are no real grey areas. Their cause is justice, liberty and freedom. They seek to protect the weak and defend the common man. Most are loved by all; some are misunderstood and don’t get the adoration they feel they deserve. But regardless, they strive to do the right thing and aim to make a difference. It uses a straightforward system and character generation is quick and easy.

There are sample characters here:

Awesome! I look forward to it-I still want a new copy of BOL, or a BOA with the full rules but not a big deal.

Question:  On Gemini, and the 5D in the Competency pool...is that like an equalizer between a lower build character and a higher build character in the same game?  (Batman/Superman or Captain America/Thor?)  Can you explain a bit how that works?

That's exactly what it is.

You use it simply - actions are taken by rolling the number of dice in your Power or Aptitude.

If you have dice in your Competency Pool, you can use these to add a die to your roll. They refresh at the start of the next adventure.

The whole system is very straightforward.
