Perhaps if you sounded a bit more welcoming... for me, at least, a burst of gratuitous pottymouth makes it sound like a place I wouldn't be comfortable.

Actually I've been back and reading my way through this site, as well as several others, but I only post when I (think I) have something to say.

I made an effort to explain why a poster from any given site or forum might want to vote in the election.  I would hope that a voter wouldn't use postcounts to any particular board as a metric for determining who to vote for.  

In the end, everybody gets to determine for themselves how they choose who to vote for.  Some people read the profiles, some people probably pick randomly, some people don't care to vote to begin with, and some people will probably worship at the Temple of How Many Posts Do You Have On My Favorite Forum.  Go with whatever works for you.

This is all bullshit, in the end.

It makes me think of school students running for representation of the classroom, and pretending to be friends with this or that group to get one more vote at the end of the day.

When I try to wrap my mind around the notion that the ENnies might be anything other than some cliquish co-optation of products made by the committee's friends, on which people will then vote over and over again, thus de facto rigging the whole thing, it makes my head hurt.
