Ok, so lately I've been hearing different people telling me they've been watching this show or that show on the internet, but not downloaded illegally from bittorrent or emule, but rather downloaded (I presume legally) from websites.
Where are these magical websites? Where can I find these incredible places that now offer entire episodes of tv shows, new and classic? How much is available?

adult swim airs most of their lineup in streaming video every week. Sure, it's not as cool as actually having the DVDs or downloaded eps of Venture Bros. on your computer to watch whenever you like, but it still beats cable (being free and all). I've seen other networks handle some of their shows in a similar manner. For example, NBC did the same with Heroes while it was still running, and made the full archives available for a while. Great for catching up.
EDIT: I'm not sure this is what you're referring to, actually...
If you're looking for legal TV, a lot of the major networks have their own streaming video on their sites now.
There's also Hulu, which has quite a lot of stuff these days.

If you live in the US.

True. I find this is a common problem with legit sites like that.
So basically, if I don't live in the US (or the UK in the case of british programs on the BBC) I'm fucked?

Del.icio.us is a social bookmarking site. You can see what other people are bookmarking. Here's the most popular links people have tagged with "TV".

Hmm. You know, it didn't really help much for the matter at hand, but it certainly is an interesting concept for a website.

It might be easier for people to help if they knew which tv show you were looking for.
The problem with this is that I'm already dangerously close to skirting my own rules w/regard to piracy. So I'd rather not get into a specific situation where it might encourage people to post links that are actually illegal.
