This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I think your ideas were pretty interesting. More interesting than what the show did.

I thought it was basically good, though I (and my lady, who isn't even a tactical roleplayer) had a hard time with some of the tactical stupidity of the characters. Sheriff goes into alien tunnels at night alone without telling anyone and without any way to climb back out? Group leaves in cars and retreats from monster invasion... to their nearby house? Then splits up and leaves kids at home as if they'll be safe there, to defend themselves by brandishing such items as a small trophy? (i.e. Why didn't they drive another 50-100 miles away to be safe?)

Finished. I liked it.

Spoiler
I'm concerned that if they do a Season 3, that they've wraped up the whole gate to the upside-down, and they'll have to come up with something that isn't "Oh, gate is open again, everything before was for nothing" but we'll see...
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.

Quote from: Dumarest;1004321Why is Winona Ryder in every thread now? Is it my fault for bringing up Alien Resurrection the other day?

That is just the Universe self-correcting an imbalance of Not Enough Winona Ryder on this forum.
For you the day you found a minor error in a Post by Spike and forced him to admit it, it was the greatest day of your internet life.  For me it was... Tuesday.

For the curious: Apparently, in person, I sound exactly like the Youtube Character The Nostalgia Critic.   I have no words.
