This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I am not sure this belongs in the RPG proper forum so I am posting this here: Steam Punk Star Wars.

Steampunk Star Wars has been floating around for a few months now. The site you link to links back to the guy who started the recent craze, Eric Poulton.

There's some fantabulous stuff in both his blog and this contest thread. My personal favorites are the Darth Vader that Mike posted, this pic of Luke and Vader facing off for the first time and this pic of Princess Leia leading a revolutionary charge.

One theme I enjoyed was the idea that the lightsabres were attached by a hose to a backpack worn by the user. Eric Poulton's Vader Pic features what Eric calls a "Phlogisticated Aether Torch, more commonly referred to as the phlogisabre". It doesn't have the cable, but is at least a very cool-sounding name.

I hadn't seen those last two, thanks. This is pretty sweet.
