So, Christmas Ape had mentioned that he had sigged something I'd said over at TBP, and being the sublime egotist that I am, I figured I'd go take a peek and see what.
However, it turned out he apparently doesn't use the same name over there, so I figured instead that I would try a Google site search on my own handle, figuring that it might bring it up the text.
The first thing I notice immediately is that someone's apparently been taking a peculiar interests in threads relating to my banning, and indeed, any past moderator action, as the first two pages of threads from a 'site:forum.rpg.net "J Arcane"' turn up nothing but links to the same 4 or so threads about me getting banned.
Since I was bored, I kept digging through the pages, sort of taking a stroll through the old threads that popped up and such, when out of the blue, I hit page 7 and Google throws up an error saying that, in effect, my usage matches the patterns of a spambot, and won't let me pull up any further search results. WTF?
I've never had either of these problems before. Someone's fucking with my name somehow, and I can't say as that prospect at all pleases me.
No doubt. That's ominous.

I've never seen that, and I obsessively google shit (including my 'jrients' handle) all the frickin' time.

That's....really, really weird. For what it's worth, J Arcane, I grabbed your response that lead with "Frankly, I like GMs, goddammit" and sigged it overe there. Partly because it's abso-fucking-lutely true, and partly to jab some of the more relentless motherfuckers over there in the eye with it.
I'm hard to find because I'm too lazy to remember to get my user name over there changed.
Edit: And regarding the searches about your banning; is it possible it was shewolf? You mentioned getting banned over there, she seemed surprised....just a thought.

Yeah, I eventually found you because Google had a cached version of your .sig that still mentioned the Christmas Ape name.
But it's really just bizarre. It's like someone had or has a bot running somewhere that's just plugging my name and "banning" into Google over and over again.
