This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'm at 21.8.

I've always thought of RPGsite as a somewhat hostile environment but fairly diverse. In order to make this true, we need at least one starving individual and one morbidly obese. Come on! Who's gonna make it happen?

Otherwise, we'll need one of our two underweight guys to starve himself and give the food to one of the five obese guys!

I'm overweight, but at the high end.  It's a short shot to morbidly obese, and trust me, I can be pushed.  So bacon up that sausage and pass it on!

OK, I'm getting fatter as I get older, but I don't think a height of 5' 11" and a body weight of 185 lbs is overweight at all (BMI 25.8).  I see professional athletes that weigh that and more (especially boxers and mixed martial arts fighters), so I'm going to say that the calculator is a bit flawed or even broken.

Like my scale.  :)

It's flawed, a simplification.

Going to a physician, nutritionist, etc and getting the real deal on your situation is probably the best thing one ca do.

I have a friend who is exactly the same height as me and he's a fucking monster. Large shoulders, big hands. Christ, his fingers are twice as thick as mine. If he was to carry my healthy weight, he'd certainly be ill.

This calculator doesn't even take the person's sex into account.
