I think it's a combination of two factors:

1. She needs to reinvent her career, and by crashing and burning she can do that.

2. She's a very naive, stupid girl who's phase of rebellion was delayed for 10 years and is now fueled by a shitload of money.

I feel sorry for her because her mother deprived her of a childhood and any sense of a normal life from the time she was a toddler.

Well, I was slamming on paris hilton there.

BTw, slamming paris hilton is pretty ubiquitous on the net. For example, we had a thread in the BCG forums about famouns people being cylons, and paris hilton came up. Someone suggested she'd make a good cylon because regaining consciousness naked, dazed, in restraints and covered in white goo from head to toe would be nothing new for her.

I felt sorry for him too, until he was accused of child molestation. To my knowledge, Britney hasn't done anything like that yet.

Ok, here's my theory.

She shaved her head to remove evidence of drug use. She's going through a custody battle, and K-Fed could totally nail her on it if his lawyers convinced the judge to order a hair-follicle substance test for Britney.

In that light, it was kind of a bold move on her part to get rid of the evidence.
