Title: Ron Randall's Trekker
Post by: Dumarest on September 14, 2017, 01:12:34 AM
Does anyone recollect Ron Randall's Trekker from old Dark Horse Comics back in the mid-'80s? I recently rediscovered it when I came across a nice thick omnibus edition collecting the old comics under two covers, and the found there was a slim new volume called "The Train to Avalon Bay." The art is beautiful on every page and the sci fi world Mr. Randall has imagined is pretty cool: gritty without being grim, "realistic" and feels lived in, and the technology isn't crazy Wahoo magic. It reminds me a little bit of Blade Runner In a good way.  In fact, when I was reading it I thought, "Why, this could be a fairly cool basis for a Traveller campaign."

Cool, I didn't know he was doing instalments online for free. Hope he collects them as books.
