This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

OK, I'm Here.....

Greetings and welcome.

Best wishes on your fight with cancer. I met a cancer survivor at a convention, Dirk Benedict, and talked with him re his victory over cancer and he recommended a microbiotic diet. That's just the word from a cancer survivor, I can't say anything re it's validity.

Met him at a con also.  He's got to be one of the most friendly people that I have ever talked to.  Talked quite a bit about surviving cancer and how to support the charities that support research.

You want to meet an incredibly friendly guy, catch Marc Singer at a convention...

He was at a nearby con a couple years ago (same con as Dirk just a different year) but I was moving into a new apartment at that time but couldn't make it.

You wouldn't happen to be in the Missouri/Illinois area of the US would you?

Quote from: GMSkarkaThe Powers-That-Be at the Other Place have told me that they're not willing to lift my permaban because I'd be "too controversial" and that the "crazies would come out of the woodwork" to attack me.

From reading Wick's Livejournal, I learn that this, supposedly, is where the "crazies" are to be found.

After spending the first two months of 2007 fighting cancer, the thought getting in amongst the "crazies" doesn't really scare me.  Even a little bit.

I lurk for a couple months, and I see a community which is far more like the RPGnet of Old.   The one that I loved.

So, here I am.

 Hey Skarka,

 Welcome to the site.
They actually talk about games over here.
On that cancer? Kick its ass!

Say "yes" Nox. That way Skach can have you post here over at his place, where he can hit you real hard whenever you say something dumb. :)

Excellent, now all we need is Justin Bacon and the rpg.net of 2000 will be complete.

Good to hear the cancer responded to treatment by the way.

Oh, Gareth IIRC is a bit of an expert on the pulps, which is a bit of an added bonus really.
