Joker 2 Folie à Deux will it be good?

I rather liked the Joaquin Phoenix Joker, it wasn't Batman's Joker but it was a really deep and interesting movie.

As a musical? I'm not sure but I'm hopping it's good.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

Remeber everything good about Joker?  How it felt like you were walking through a man breaking down mentally? How there was character growth, plots , twists, and you wanted to see how deep this rabbit hole went?

All that's gone and it's turned into Moulan Rouge in Arkham.  All the development in the first movie, gone. All the buildup to Arthur Fleck being this anti-hero? Gone.  The part where you can sympathize with Arthur? Gone and turned into a goddamn sonny and cher episode.  The ending was pure shit and I only wish it had happened 60 minutes into the movie so I could have left sooner. I didn't mind Lady Gaga nor Juaquin Phoenix in this, they did a good job with what they had, it was the writing and direction were god awful terrible.  I'll never get those 2 hours back.

It felt like they threw the musical shit to pad the runtime and it some places it would have been great but it was too much and I'd rather watch Catwoman than relive my time with Joker2. Rip out the chicannery and you'd have a good 50minute Law and Order episode.

My friends walked out on it, when i left the theatre some other people said "How was it?"
"Do you like musicals?"
They went and got refunds.

The director hates the people who made him famous because Hollywood is stupid like that and he did everything he could to make people hate this movie.

Fuck hollywood with a broken axe handle.   This is why i watch foreign and indie movies more now than nearly anything that gets pumped out of Hollywoke.

I prefered the first opus. However, I thought Folie à deux was daring (maybe not for average Joes like me).
I didn't enter in the movie as I did in the first (this one was more political)

I didn't still know if i liked it... Usually, I don't like musical comedy and I really like the first opus... But I think it was really coherent...it works.

I kept an open mind when I learned that it would be a musical. All in all, there seemed to be a message the movie wanted to convey, but all the singing dragged on for too long to the point where it became grating.

The consensus me and my friends came to was that Joker 2 would be a lot better if around 30 minutes of runtime was cut, most of it singing...

Only this time Sonny ski'd right into a shitty script, instead. There was so much potential. I'm surprised the studio let this happen. I'm almost wondering if Todd Philips churned this out just to spite WB?

The director explicitly said that he wanted to "Own the Chuds" for turning The Joker 1 into a anti-hero.

Hence he made it into Sound of Music in NYC. He did it on purpose and WB did fuck all to stop him.
