Don't think you really care, but i'm happy.
Three months incarcerated with (among other things), indonesian sailors does weird things to your head... so, Selamat Malam for everybody.

 RIO, Duran Duran - first video on MTV that I fell in love with as a kid. The girl in it was like one I knew in High school.

Rio - an Album (yes, I bought it as an actual LP you little snot-nosed punk kids) that doesn't get nearly as much wide-spread kudos as it deserves.

Thought I haven't been reading music critics for a few years so I might have missed their rehash-the-80's homage or something....

("rehash-the-80's" is not meant to demean the 80's in any way, Doc - I came of age in the 80's, so it holds a special place in my "heart")

The 80s are definitely back in vogue. A high-school kid asked me if I'd ever heard of Spandau Ballet. In return, I asked him if he'd heard of Aztec Camera. Mystified look....
