I'd go watch it. The Elric novels were pretty good and a lot better than your standard fantasy fair by a long shot. Hopefully they don't butcher it all to hell.

A few years ago he actually was Moorcocks favorite. Now, I don't think there's a big chance that he'll play an albino twice.

But the nice thing about the Elric novels is that you basically can't do much wrong. Considering today's tastes, the visual stylings of Elric have big mass market appeal. We've got a scrawny, pale, drug-addled anti-hero with a huge sword. Teens will love it.

The question is, how to get the incest, drugs, trippy visions and plain soul-sucking brutality down to a PG rating. ;)

If done properly, the Elric movie would be colourful, surreal and fucking unsettling.
