This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Can You know if someone "cheated" on their livejournal?

Ok, here's a question for all you technical genii out there. Let's say that I want to find out if someone edited out something from their Livejournal page, without commenting that they did so. Is there any way you can find the original version of their livejournal entry?

I'm no whiz kid, but as far as I know if I were to edit my LJ post they would not show or display that they had been edited in any way at all. At least not to you, my viewing public.

I can test it out if you'd like.

Serious Paul

Okay original post reads:

QuoteCurrent music:   NIN:: La Mer

Yeah the Exterminators is officially the creepiest comic book ever.

From here

Serious Paul

Added a single period after the end of the sentence, and as far as I can tell it in no way shows it was edited at all.

Serious Paul

Yup even after I log out it shows nothing that says "Hey this post was edited."

There's no good way to do it on LJ. Edits are transparent, unless it hangs around long enough to get on the internet archive or google cache or something.
Download Secret Santicore! (10MB). I painted the cover :)
