Title: HPL's Color Out of Space with Nick Cage and Tommy Chong!
Post by: Spinachcat on November 13, 2019, 12:00:44 AM
Just saw the trailer and it didn't suck, though it obviously takes huge liberties with the original story. However, TO ME the trailer feels like they got the core concept of the story. As always, please post your thoughts.  Of course, we will see what's what when the actual film hits the screen, but seeing Nick Cage with a shotgun makes me wonder if the writer or director might have played CoC.

Here's HP Lovecraft's original story as a comparison. It's short and among his best.

I am not a fan of Nick Cage. He looks like a human rodent hybrid and has the acting skills of a potato. I can't take any movie seriously with him as a major/lead character.
Which sucks because otherwise I'd be interested in this film.

huh? I am surprised. That actually looks not bad really. Obviously takes some liberties to pad it out. But so have the other two notable movie adaptions. And I still rather like Die monster Die! even if it did take a few too many deviations.
