Why is it that RPG.net is listed on the BI website for "WFRP related links" but theRPGsite isn't? We have a lot of hardcore WFRP fans, and we get quite a bit of WFRP conversation going on here...

It's likely because Steve D is rpgnet and rpgnet solely exists as a forum for Steve D and Steve D writes for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
Just sayin' we ain't got no Steve D here.

Can we make an evil clone of him?
Maybe a mini-me??
Okay then just a mildly grumpy clone?

Not having the huge history with RPG.net that some do (though not entirely an outsider either) I find the Steve D thing curious. I mean, There is No Spoon is brilliant for something written on a bus... hell in general. Not that I'd ever run it as a campaign, but for a quick and dirty oneshot? Hell yeah. From memory no less.
I didn't know he worked for BI.
But, other than TiNS and I guess real industry cred, what the fuck makes him such a central character of the site, and online gaming in general to a lesser degree????
In other news, once I get my Runequest game back up to speed from it's hiatus, I intend to take WHRP out for a spin as a one shot with converted characters in my setting. Just because I can.
He's a very smart, if occasionally flamboyant guy. I don't know that he's posting much on rpg.net any more. Not for a long time now.
How the hell did this become a Stev D thread?
SteveD still posts regularly on WHfrp threads anyhow. At one point I think he was the person who could take sole responsibility for the sense of community Tangency had before the mods did everything in their power to destroy it. (FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!! tm) He did this big cross America vacation and stayed with lots of folks. I think that's how the "cool kids" wound up being a clique in the first place.
In any case, Mr Darlington is first and foremost a very nice and friendly person, and it comes across in his writing. I'm told I come across as someone who'd jump at you with a knife. Which I would but I'd probably be joking.
But the fact remains that his connection to rpg.net and BI is very likely the answer to the good Pundit's question.
Steved's a great guy, and I've never seen anywhere that wasn't better with his presence, though sadly in recent years it's seemed like that presence has been less than it was in the past by quite a margin.
He even offered the possibility to write for my never-actually-finished book at one point, back in the day.
I don't know that Steve is a "central figure" in anything in particular, but he is a great bloke. I used to see him fairly frequently when he lived in Oxford. Of course that was back in the Golden Age of SteveCons (i.e. when I used to go to them).
The reason this site isn't on BI's links list is, I imagine, because they probably haven't heard of it. Send them a quick email - it couldn't hurt.
Will i do?
I didn't know that RPGnet was listed in the links, to be honest. I'll go over and have a look. I have told several other authors about this site, but so far i think only one of them has taken the plunge.
If someone wants to start a column here or some other resource, i'm sure the site would be added in a twinkle. I'm guessing that RPGnet is there for the reviews and the rpgindex.

I'm sure you will do.
Asa for "resources", we do have a review section, and I'd LOVE to see some people put up their reviews of WFRP products.
Heck, send me some product and I'll gladly review it, but barring that you or anyone else could review anything you wanted and put it up.
I absolutely love the game, and wouldn't mind more people from the BI board coming here to chat about WFRP and everything else.
