I thought you were going to refer to their middle of the night/morning hours show RED EYE - where they regularly make fun of themselves and everyone else. One of the few shows where it helps to know gay sub-culture to get some of the in-jokes and references.

You know the funniest part about that is the "what happened to Atari?" question.

Or perhaps the rose-colored glasses are filtering out the abomination of "Custer's Revenge" - an Atari game that was solely about getting your cowboy to rape a helpless Native American female.

Of course, they probably don't remember "Liesure Suit Larry" either, or any one of the other dozens of sex-related video games from the early 80's.

Just like every other "moral panic" issue, the new "threat" isn't all that new.

At times, yes, people on the left have a legitimate claim of bias. For example, I can understand why the anti-war left feels that the media was biased against them in the United States during the run-up to the Iraq war, though it has since reverted to having a a moderate anti-war bias. Note the absence of stories about heroism in Afghanistan and Iraq, for example compared to the initial offensive.

I think at this point, it's more about what sells. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are old news from the media's perspective. Obviously a very, very skewed perspective, but look at what's all over the news now. Heath Ledger's death. I mean, come on. It's certainly tragic for his friends and family, but does it deserve to be such a national news story?!
