Different types of mages for a novel

I am currently planning a novel about a world of magic and technology, and I am looking for different types of mages a person can become after evolving from an acolyte. From different novels I read, there are mostly people becoming 'Warlocks' which have the ability to copy the bloodline of an anicent creature to give them a power poost, but I am looking for something unique which will give the main character a large power boost and also what has a cool way of doing so. I would also appreciate other types of mages if you have any unqiue ones.

If your setting is hi-tech combined with magic, where there is space travel and not everyone is stuck on a single planet then consider a 'Star Mage', harnessing the power of stars (suns). Think something like a living hydrogen bomb packed into a wizard. It might have some powerful damage spells, but the main point of it is access to near-unlimited energy, meaning barely any rest is needed to use mana for spellcasting. Might also be able to transfer some of this energy to other spellcasters like a cleric.

(In a sci-fi like setting such a mage is likely feared or venerated, some actively trying to hunt them down as they could 'eat' a sun)

A more setting-neutral spellcaster would be a 'Chronomancer', a time mage, able to rewind time or stop it in addition to things like make items/creatures older or younger, or cast 'Haste' and 'Slow' during combat. As this is time magic it would mean he could boost the reaction/action time for allies, or slow enemy movement/action greatly, and 'cinematic' effecty like slowing down a rain of arrows or bullets as in a movie with 'bullet time' effect. Not by making things physically quicker or slower, but due to changing time's effect on things.

(Chronomancers would have power of truly returning youth, so getting rich, or feared for making warriors old/to dust. However, they could rewind time to before an encounter to fix mistakes, and attempt better outcomes. Like a Save/Reload option in reality.)

'Card mage' is a favorite of mine, the near-forgotten game Septerra Core has such a 'magic' system. Three magical spell cards can at max be combined for an effect, such as a 'summon' card (on its own summoning the ghost of an ancestor to fight on your side) combined with 'fire' (on its own a fire blast spell) could summon a form of fire creature (Fire Elemental, efreet, phoenix, ect). Special advantage for non-casters if in the setting these cards are rare, but can be used by anyone owning them.

(Depending on the amount of magic in the world, and the number of spellcasting methods this form of card could be just another in a dozen, or exotic and rare for which adventurers could journey across long distances and kill each other trying to get more.)
