First, you guys are all being comfortable in your denial of reality, from my point of view.

But whatever. For the sake of the argument, I will choose to stipulate to your accusations. Yes, I am in my personal life, on the level of personal relationships, a brutal misogynist. So what?

The point is, it doesn't affect how I operate as an admin here. Yes, you can argue "your misogyny would drive women away" to which my answer would be "Fuck, why? Why would the mere issue of me feeling bitter about women's consistently shitty behaviour in relationships lead them to not be on a website that I run, where I otherwise do nothing related to this issue?". I mean, I have no issue with women posters, women gamers, women doing any job men do, women heads of state, the rights of women not to get beaten exploited or otherwise harmed, etc. etc. So unless a woman on here was trying to be my girlfriend (and thus already trying to figure out how to change me), or was an ex of mine (and with one exception none of them gamed), there would be no issue.

Curts issue wasn't that he was a homosexual, or even that he was of the school of thought that sees a lot of homophobia in the heterosexual demographic.  His problem was that he translated that into his job as an admin. It would be like if I then went along to women posting about RPGs on here and said "You just say that because you hate men!!  You hate D&D because it was invented by a man!! You are being offensive against me as a man!!" etc etc.

No, I stopped hurting the second I figured out I could get what I actually wanted (sex) without having to submit to the demands of being a toy poodle in a "relationship", and have the emotional needs of friendship met with other people.  As soon as I divorced the concept of physical need for sex with the concept of love, and realized these two needs could be met from different sources, I have been pretty contented.

It's not about you trolling the boards for girlfriends.  Nobody thinks that's going to happen.

But your very premise can be boiled down to "Most women are whores, but at least a few are honest about it."  That's some offensive shit there, man.

Well, there's first and foremost what Tony just mentioned. It's simply not a welcoming attitude. It's pretty clear you make rabid attacks on Forge supporters because they are part of a group you hate. You make them feel unwelcome. It's pretty clear you have a dislike for woman. And you will make them feel unwelcome.

Secondly, it's another in a long list of cues showing that you are deranged and delusional. Because you don't have a firm grasp of reality, it is difficult to believe you will be able to make the right calls consistently.

Thirdly, it sheds another light on your ability to review and criticize. I only knew you by reputation before coming here. I was kind of wondering what was up with your reviews of Borgstrom's work. These new posts of yours here hint that you are totally unfit to review the work of female RPG writers and I wouldn't be surprised if you were unable to moderate woman gamers.

And finally, the fact you are the head of this website means you represent us. And I'm not comfortable with you making vile statements like that. I'm ok if you are eccentric. I'm willing to laugh it off when you paint certain gamers with broad strokes because it's gaming. But that's something else, man.

Precisely jack shit. Like it or not, the forum's population as a whole will largely be judged by the worst, dumbest, most aggressive shit said by the dumbest, loudest, and most aggressive posters, at least on first glance. Sure, somebody might come by, really pour through the conversations, and get a feel for the site, but I imagine they'd be far more likely to skim a few threads, see some people (including admins) spouting shit that is at best retarded, and they're gonna go look for something less openly and unashamedly offensive to them.

You can hate it all you want, but consider how much tBP is judged for its mod staff, rather than its user base.

That being said, you are kidding yourself if you do not think this will cross many minds. The guilt by association, however unfair, is a real effect.

Am I going to feel responsible, or apologise for vile statements done by the face of this website? Nope. Do I think this may prevent many people from even visiting this website and see that there are different point of views? Yes.

Call it false first impressions or whatever. I'd much prefer for the guy in charge of a community to be level-headed.
