This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Running Traveller.  Looking for a cargo manifest that I can edit /fill in fields and print similar to what these guys do at the HP Lovecraft Historical Society at this link:

http://www.hplhs.org/resources.php

Anything else in that vein would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Well being in the far future I would imagine any cargo manifest is an encrypted digital file with the ship owner having one quantum key and the port authority another, all to prevent tampering of course.

Good point.  That said, I still want an official looking prop if one has already been designed, that I can fill out and give to players.

Can I really be the only person who read this as 'edible' cargo manifest props?

Yeah, I have a hankering for some fresh fruit now.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Well, and there you go. You can use food as symbols for the cargo. Grapes, nuts, crackers...

I don't know what the game's like these days, but older versions of Traveller had a thing for making documents designed for player use (like character sheets and the like) look like forms the characters might encounter within the game world.  First edition Traveller's Supplement 12: Forms and Charts has a bunch of stuff like that, including a cargo manifest, and it's pretty cheap on DriveThruRPG.  If you just want the cargo manifest, you can find a PDF here.

With limited resources in space, might make sense to eat the paper copy.

Thanks for the link, Scythian.

You need to be able to eat it when the Imperial custom agents show up.  Just basic smuggling 101 ;)

Edible game pieces? Not sure who makes those. You can always use M&M's for tokens though. Just don't handle them too much if you're going to eat them.

You mean in only a thousand years we'll finally have the paperless office?

I don't believe you. There'll always be paperwork :)

That's a real cool find! Thanks! I dig the postcards & the like, too! I was gonna scan some of my packrat relatives' unused postcards for period pieces in the future, so these add to my lil' project.

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

Great!  HPLHS has been around for a while.  They made a black and white silent movie of CoC and did a black and white talkie for Whisper in Darkness.  I was even an extra in the train station scene in Whisper.
