This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Holy crap! I love GW, DCC, and '70s Metal! This has got win all over it... of course, it may be too much of a good thing and hard to take seriously over the long hall, but it should make for some awesome one shots.

Quote from: DavetheLost;905074By "4E one" I presume you mean GW 7e? GW 4e was one of the least gonzo of the bunch.

The free MCC preview stuff doesn't seem overly gonzo, although the adventure is less serious than it could be. But the tone could easily be addapted in play. It is intended as 0-evel funnel and will eat a large number of characters.

I don't think MCC will pull me away from etamorphosis Alpha, but I look forward to reading/playing it.
You are correct. I meant the "D&D 4E" one, which as you noted would technically be GW 7E. I love GW 4E as it's really similar to AD&D.

A lot of my "Last Sun" DCC campaign has serious post-apocalyptic elements, and it's High-Gonzo. I'm betting there will be stuff in this product that would be useful to me. In turn, when I eventually publish it as a setting, I have to wonder how it will compare.

Details on the adventure arc of 7 modules stretch goals have been released. PCs are a lot less pure murder hobos in MCC and I am glad. Plus non-Euclidian tech and quantum monsters sound interesting.

I am torn on upping my pledge. The new $90 pledge includes 7 modules, a player booklet by Tim Kask, a judge's screen, and hopefully a poster map. Not sure I should spend so much but I am sure I will regret it if I don't!

I got onboard early on and keep getting e-mails about hitting one stretch goal and then the next. I anticipated that this project would be a big thing, but it seems bigger than I had imagined. Down to a day or so left, so decide quickly. :-D

I read the 29 page quickstart and I decided against it. I couldn't find a reason why it was significantly different or better than the other post-apoc games already on my shelf. It's kinda odd how the post-apoc elements are just reskinned over DCC fantasy.

The Butcher

I was tempted but (1) they have yet to deliver on the DCC 4th printing KS, (2) $25 for a PDF is bullshit and (3) I just spent a ton of money on DTRPG.

But the game does look fun.

I think that being DCC for Post Apocalypse is the point of the exercise.  I don't have DCC, but since the other PA games on my shelf date from the 70s and 80s I decided to give this a shot. For me I remain quite happy with Matamorphosis Alpha (1976) despite its quirks.

I decided to go in for the printed modules. Seven adventures and a data orb in game artifact were too cool to pass up. Not to mention the judge's screen, world map, and character sheets. A whole campaign in a reusable art covered box.

mAcular Chaotic

I wasn't going to get this but I cracked and chipped in with only 5 minutes left. Only got the book though. Modules are important but who knows how good they are.
Battle doesn\'t need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don\'t ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don\'t ask why I fight.

I like DCC RPG modules so I know I will like these.

They delivered some of the add-ons, plus the softback versions of the books (which are very reasonably priced). I believe you can also order the softback books via their online store and retailers.
