This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Should there be better tracking of Crowdfunding info?

Personally, I suck at keeping track of Kickstarters, not only for actual RPGs, but for other things related to RPGs like
Dice handmade from Bulletproof Glass
Voodoo Tarot Cards
The Ubiquitous Weekly Awesome Miniatures run from new companies you've never heard about.

Crowdfunding and indie publishing is almost the de facto standard for RPGs at this point, it seems like a dedicated thread to simply list them would be a good idea.  Not talk about them, not argue about them, just crowdfunding links.  If people want to talk about them in more depth, they can do it other appropriate places.

So, how do you think theRPGsite should handle Crowdfunding?

The main forum has too many stickies already. So I vote no, to a ks sticky.

The full poll is up, there's another option.

I was thinking the same thing about the Sticky in the main forum, so I put up the option of having a new KS forum in the first area of the site, the Pen & Paper Roleplaying Central.  That would make the first grouping 5 forums instead of 4.

That way instead of a sticky that would become a mess, just have a new forum for all threads Kickstarter/IndieGogo/etc. on things related to RPGs.

Yes. The posts per page could be increased as well.

To keep track on Kickstarters, I recommend this resource:

RPGgeek is cool. I'm good with all of the above suggestions, esp with a sub-forum for ks threads.

Ignoring my distaste for Kickstarters in general, I think it should have it's own sub-forum under the News and Adverts section.  Mainly because you ARE advertising (maybe for someone else, maybe for your own) a product that is (hopefully) coming in the near future.

I'd prefer that things stay the way they are. It makes easier to discuss the Kickstarters I think, when threads flow and die as interest grows and ebbs in particular KSes.
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

I hates the stickies. Hates!

KS subforum? Don't know. Does it bother people that KS stuff pops up in the main forum? Or KS board games pop up in Other Games?

I think having KS in the main forums gets them more exposure. Which I feel is a good thing.

Sorry for offtopic, but am I the only one that likes when General RPGs and D20 D&D topics would be separated into different sections?

lol

It might be like trolling the rest of the users here because 50% of posts are about D&D and it's ilk.

Yes.  The moment you separate any forum, you create an unintentional 'Us vs. Them' mentality.

They're all role playing games.  Let's keep it inclusionary, please.

Yes I notice and this is exactly what is annoying to me. Most of the dnd topics are actually not about RPGs, but rather game specific talk. But I understand how this forum has long history and it's userbase us used to this.

I prefer the opposite – a single forum called simply "Games", joining Roleplaying games, D&D games, Storygames, Boardgames, Videogames, etc. in the same place. :)

True.  KS stuff in the main forum doesn't bother me at all, but I was thinking if it had it's own forum there would be better chance to get notice of KS for dice, minis, maps,
