This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

"The monsters eat FUCK YOU, that's what they eat."

Are we sharing anecdotes for when we were first GMing for our friends as 12 years olds? Because I have some great ones in this spirit.
Furthermore, I consider that  This is Why We Don\'t Like You thread should be closed

Omega

The Crushed setting booklet for 3e played with that.

What do the monsters eat? Adventurers. In fact adventurers are apparently an important part of the food chain in that setting as they are force raise-deaded each time they die.

Keep on the Borderland mentions some of the cavern inhabitants hunting game or travellers.

Quote from: Omega;878808This old chestnut? Its absurd only if you dont think things through. Try again please.
Living dungeons are, by far, the least absurd explanation for the annoying triviality that is monster ecology. If we cared about the ecology we wouldn't be killing everything that moves. Then again my approach to the modern fantasy genre is to treat everything as operating by Discworld logic rather than lame Tolkien rip-off. Fantasy takes itself way too seriously.

Oh, thanks; I thought Lent had ended rather early.

The only reason for players to worry about what the monsters eat is if they plan to use the information in an adventuring plan, like posing as the pizza delivery guy to get the drop on some monster. Otherwise, it's just a game.

I was pretty sure that
Spoiler
it was a Bored of the Rings reference

Jesus Fucking Christ, is this guy honestly that goddamned stupid? He can\'t understand the plot of a Star Wars film? We\'re not talking about "Rashomon" here, for fuck\'s sake. The plot is as linear as they come. If anything, the film tries too hard to fill in all the gaps. This guy must be a flaming retard.  --Mike Wong on Red Letter Moron\'s review of The Phantom Menace

Orcs, of course, without Cola. an Orc Burger would be much better though.
Blackmoor grew from a single Castle to include, first, several adjacent Castles (with the forces of Evil lying just off the edge of the world to an entire Northern Province of the Castle and Crusade Society's Great Kingdom.
