This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Indie RPG Awards for games release in 2014 are still registering until this Saturday, May 30. I think there's a fair mix of games registered, but all the best games of 2014 should be represented.

The list and registration is up on the site at:

http://www.indie-rpg-awards.com/2014/

Please give a gander and register games you think should be there.

Note that this is a new domain name from last year, so if you have old links, please update them.

Whispering Road,  Golden Sky Stories, and Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine... is there something in the water?

Lots of stuff listed that I'd never heard of - that's a good thing.

How do you decide what's a supplement and what's a game?  For example, Planarch Codex describes itself as a supplement, but it's in the game category.  Is the line whether it's self-contained, or just wherever people put the nomination?

Since the parameters are 'released in calendar year 2014', I guess I'll send in a nomination for Secret Santicore 2013.
Wampus Country - Whimsical tales on the fantasy frontier

"Describing Erik Jensen\'s Wampus Country setting is difficult"  -- Grognardia

"Well worth reading."  -- Steve Winter

"...seriously nifty stuff..." -- Bruce Baugh

"[Erik is] the Carrot-Top of role-playing games." -- Jared Sorensen, who probably meant it as an insult, but screw that guy.

"Next con I\'m playing in Wampus."  -- Harley Stroh

Brad

QuoteThis is a storygame about the ladies-in-waiting to Eleanor of Aquitaine

Yeah...gonna pass.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

Oh come on, Brad, at least it does what it says on the tin. :)

Oops. No, the Planarch Codex is a mistake.

Obviously, anyone can (and does) make nominations - and thus far there have been plenty of story game supporters among the nominators and the voters. However, it's open to whoever wants in, as long as it is creator-controlled (i.e. not written by freelance writers as work-for-hire).

It raises visibility, and can hopefully point people to new releases.

I was able to register my games today, John, so that's done! :D

Thanks!

OK,

"Lowell Was Right", "High Strung", and "Corporia" are up on the site in the registered games list. Let me know if you see any problems.

You should change Corporia's price to $9.99. It's $8.49 because of the DriveThruRPG site-wide science fiction sale for May, and that will be over in a couple of days.

Oh! On High Strung, Albert Bailey is not a co-author. I did that one myself, and Albert is not to blame! He wouldn't know rock 'n roll if it bit him on the ankle... :D

OK, I fixed Corporia's price and High Strung's authors.

Quote from: BedrockBrendan;833815Looks like the author names and product descriptions may have been shuffled (at least on the mobile site).
I don't think I'm seeing that on the regular web view. What platform/browser are you using?

I don't seem to have the problem any more. I noticed it about an hour or two ago when I was out viewing the page on my iPhone. But looking at my iPhone and my laptop now, everything seems normal. But when I checked earlier there was definitely an issue because some of the games had descriptions for other products.

I think Brendan was nipping the rat cheese early this morning... :D
